One of the art quilts in the exhibit depicts a Frederick street during Christmas time.
From August 29 through November 22, 2024, award-winning quilt artist Aynex Mercado will present her latest series of art quilts entitled Quilting Frederick. Her series is inspired by the impressive and historical architecture of the town of Frederick, MD, where she resides. This is the first time the series will be exhibited outside of Frederick. There will be an opening reception on August 29, 2024 from 5:30 – 7 PM where you can meet the artist.
