The Rotary Club of Annapolis is made up of 142 dynamic individuals participating in numerous projects to benefit people locally and around the world. The club has three groups that meet at different times for the convenience of members. The Lunch Group meets Thursdays at 12 noon at Annapolis Yacht Club. The Breakfast Group meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 8:00am at Eggcellence on Housley Road, and the Happy Group meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm at Gordon Biersch Brewery in Parole. This week’s speaker will be Patricia Slaughter, Founder and Director of Bernie House. The Bernie House is part of the solution to those made homeless due to domestic violence. Providing survivors longer term transitional housing program. Allowing time to build important support structures, the opportunity to heal, build confidence and become financially stable. Our mission is to provide a safe home without violence for families in crisis. Preparing survivors of domestic violence for the next step, stability and success in permanent housing.
