Sacred and Profane: Carmina Burana
Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts 801 Chase St, Annapolis, Maryland 21401
Starting with the sacred, the Chorale will perform two pieces of sublime beauty and peace: Lauridsen's Lux aeterna and Elgar's Lux aeterna (as arranged by John Cameron) before launching into Carl Orff's powerful theatrical/musical work of love, sex, and passion - one of the most recognized and loved pieces in the choral repertoire.
Students may attend free using Live Arts Maryland’s special Student Rush program by visiting the box office a half-hour prior to curtain. Students 18 and up must present a valid ID to receive a ticket.
