Bettye Maki on Safari
What is it like to camp in the African bush for 12 days? Do animals come into your camp? Join one of our most frequent adventurers to find out!
Bettye Maki is back with another travel program as she shares her unforgettable camping journey through Botswana.
Through photos and videos shot in the field, Bettye invites us to observe this celebration of African wilderness in its natural rhythm. You’ll witness:
Towering bull elephants and nurturing mothers with their tiny calves
Cheetahs, lions, and leopards—up close and uncaged
A remarkable moment when a lioness adopts the cubs of two others
The thrill (and chill) of a male lion confidently approaching your open safari vehicle
