Chris Edwards has been entranced with photography since she was a child and has an ability to capture spontaneous moments with an uncommonly creative eye. After focusing on a career in the Navy and raising a family, Chris quickly rediscovered her passion when digital photography hit the streets, got hooked, and hasn’t looked back. Since 2008, Chris has served as director of membership, director of field trips, vice president, and president of DPCA and as a judge for the Bowie-Crofton Camera Club. In 2012, she won as grand champion of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) calendar contest and has had multiple images published in other DNR calendars. Her work has been featured in publications, websites, and contests sponsored by Severn Riverkeeper, R&R Taqueria, What’s Up? Annapolis, Annapolis Symphony Orchestra, Washingtonian Magazine, St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Annapolis, Quiet Waters Park, and The Washington Post. Over the years, Chris has done presentations for Anne Arundel Community College, Arundel Camera Club, and Heritage Harbor. She has also taught many workshops alongside Laurie Brice through their company, Four Rivers Photo.
Today, Chris continues to embrace her creativity every chance she gets and is often seen mindfully scoping out her next shot. Enjoy some of her work by visiting https://www.flickr.com/photos/60692837@N00/.
