Southern Anne Arundel County Tour
Experience the beauty, history, and resilience of Southern Anne Arundel County during this self-guided tour presented by the Maryland House & Garden Pilgrimage.
This year’s tour highlights innovative efforts by homeowners and landowners to restore natural systems that help protect against erosion, flooding, and the impacts of storms and rising tides. Along the route, visitors will see examples of bioswales, rain gardens, and marsh restoration integrated into both historic and modern properties.
Known for its farms and waterfront views, Southern Anne Arundel offers a peaceful contrast to the more developed northern part of the county. Tour-goers will have the opportunity to explore early American architecture dating back over 300 years and observe how homes and businesses are working to preserve their land and shorelines.
Advance tickets are $41.75 and $45 on the day of the tour. Your ticket includes the 2025 Maryland House & Garden Pilgrimage Tour Guide, offering details and historical background for each stop.
Proceeds from the tour will support the Captain Avery Museum in its efforts to construct a new, stable, and accessible pier that will serve as a vital community asset.
