“Speak Your Truth!” is back to support NAMI-AAC with another powerful night of local artists & citizens using their voices to get real about emotional struggles. Annapolis hip-hop legend, The Genius Child, will again be MCing the event (along with event co-founder David Idemudia) with precision balance of heart & good vibes. We're pushing to have even more speakers (speeches, poems, art, dance, acting, etc.) this year, with all participant being enrolled in a prize raffle. We will also have the option for people to submit a 500 word story for actors to read for you (as we wouldn't want anything to limit stories being shared). So far, we have the following Headlining "Truth Speakers" for the event:-Anthony LaVorgna (Local artist & mental health advocate)-Mark Peria (Local multi-media artist)-Delonte Ward (Head of BLACK Excellence & motivational speaker)-Behind the Facade Clothiers - Pop Up Shop (apparel focused on mental health awareness)-Christine Hunt (Wellness Coach & Consultant, doing some stress-relieving activities)-Laura M.
