In an effort to bring the Olympic spirit to its community, Thrive Gym invites students and families to participate in Olympic-themed events at both of its two locations to celebrate the upcoming Paris 2024 Games.

The Annapolis location will host children 5 years and older on July 26 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in an Olympic-themed open gym to celebrate the Opening Ceremonies. Kids will enter through a lobby decorated to feel like Paris. From there they can bring out their inner Olympian while playing and learning on gymnastics equipment in a safe and supervised environment.

On July 30 from 12:15 to 3:15 p.m., the Arnold location will continue celebrating Team USA with a livestream watch party for children 5 years and older to witness the Women’s Gymnastics Team compete in the team finals. This event offers kids an opportunity to cheer on the accomplished athletes who learned skills and honed talents in gyms just like Thrive.

To participate in the supervised activities, children must be registered. The cost per child is $25.

Thrive Gym exists to invest in young athletes and boasts both a successful competitive gymnastics team and a dynamic recreational program. The staff and athletes will be able to keep tabs on the Olympic gymnasts via a livestream broadcast in the gyms’ lobbies. Regular practices and classes will include games that get gymnasts excited about the Summer Games, and Thrive will feature Olympic fun facts and weekly Olympic trivia in which gym visitors can win prizes.

The Olympics is an exciting backdrop to engage students and families in the spirit of unity, excellence and determination that is ever present at a competition on the world stage.
