q: Is it that thing that you hang on the wall?
a: Yes. That’s a type of weaving you can create, but there’s more to it than a quick find at your local home goods store. Weavings can be wearable, placed between the pages of your favorite
novel, or even used as a rug - you know, some off the wall stuff.
Now that you have a general understanding of a few projects you can make and if you are a true beginner interested in getting the chillest introduction to my favorite craft, join me for this beginner weaving workshop.

In this class students will learn:
• how to set-up and use a cardboard loom
• three to four basic weaving techniques
• how to plan your first project, including experimenting with color and texture
• clean-up and finishing techniques

Supplies:
• a sheet of cardboard (can also use a shoe box, cereal box, or cardboard found in home)
• scissors
• glue stick
• plastic tapestry needle
• white warp yarn (sugar n’ cream® yarn works great)
• variety of yarn (at least three colors, variety of textures/sizes, at least one chunky yarn)
• an empty pen or x-acto knife (optional)
• plastic or wooden dowel (optional)
