Annapolis in the Revolutionary Era
From the first patriotic protests, through the grueling war years, to the dramatic events which marked the return of peace and the start of a new national epoch, Annapolis was at the center of Maryland’s revolutionary movement from the early 1760s to the late 1780s. Glenn E. Campbell, retired Senior Historian of Historic Annapolis, traces the story of Annapolis through a quarter-century of revolutionary ideas, events, and change.
