Winter Lecture Series: Tea in the 18th Century

Kimberly Walters will present the importance of tea in the colonies based upon her new book, Tea in 18th Century America. Learn how tea was introduced and the controversy surrounding it, as well as the rituals of the tea ceremony and the equipage needed to serve it.  Bring your own treasured teacup, if you wish, and  “take tea,” hosted by Mrs. Paca and her colonial friends.  You’ll enjoy an authentic colonial tea with sweets and savories while catching up on the latest news and gossip of the era.
