rIt's hard to believe, but my wedding is just four days away. Everyone keeps asking me if I'm nervous -- Nope, not at all. I'm super-excited, and can't wait to hop on the plane to Arizona tomorrow ... once I get a few more things done.
So, something kind of irritating happened this weekend. I expected to have a nice long weekend, filled with running errands, finishing up details, and generally getting ready for the week. Instead, I got strep throat and spent the weekend in bed with swollen tonsils and a fever running anywhere from 101 to 104 degrees. Not only was it miserable, but it really threw a kink in my plans for the weekend.
Luckily, penicillin has worked it magic and fought a hard-won battle against the infection. That means I'm back to my regularly scheduled plans of being a mad ide.
What does a mad ide do? Well, she stalks Weather.com for the temperature on Saturday (Currently holding at 82 degrees, sunny, with 0 percent chance of rain ... could I get any luckier?); she manically makes lists, schedules, and charts; and she spend her nights dreaming about various aspects of the wedding.
I tell you, being a mad ide is exhausting.
But I think it will be well worth it -- this wedding has been more than a year in the planning, more than three years in the making (considering David and I knew we wanted to marry each other almost immediately). So I'm going to do my best to relax and enjoy the fun that's coming my way this weekend.
This is mad ide, signing off -- for now. Check back next week when I return, a married woman!
