• 208 Talbot in St. Michaels has reopened under the same name, but with new owners. The popular Shore restaurant, formerly owned by Brian Fox and Brendan Keegan, closed at the end of 2011. Its reemergence ings together culinary experts from a wealth of Eastern Shore eateries: Paul Milne, the original owner of the property and owner of The Oaks Waterfront Inn; David Clark, former executive chef at Bridges and Julia's (who was named Best Chef on the Eastern Shore for 2012 by our readers); and General Manager Curt Cummings, who most recently ran Scossa's in Easton. According to Valerie Clark, everyone involved is "a product of the original 208. It's very much a coming home project." She explains that the team is em acing the nostalgia for 208, but also inging it into a more contemporary light. • Fields of Heather Bakery recently opened its first storefront location at the beginning of the summer in the Rainbow Plaza Shopping Center in Chester. The bakery, owned by Heather Howe, has been delivering baked goods to customers since 2001, but "The storefront is a dream come true," Howe says. • New owners have taken over Justine's Ice Cream Parlor in St. Michaels. Joe Trippi and Kathy Lash, whose children grew up eating Justine's ice cream, recently reopened at its historic storefront on Talbot Street. Former owner Tom Quimby has also returned to restore original recipes and menus for the parlor. Justine's serves sundaes, shakes, and 16 original flavors of ice cream.
