Of course, in Annapolis, we have the Town Centre at Parole that's constantly adding new shops and restaurants, and last month, we talked about the eateries and upscale grocery store, Wegman's, that's coming to a town center in Crofton. Now, our latest West County news is regarding Hanover, where The Town Center at Arundel Preserve is heating up with some great new restaurants.
First to open is George Martin's Grillfire Arundel, an upscale American Grill that features mostly steaks, along with some seafood dishes. This is the sixth Grillfire location, but the first in Maryland, and the kitchen is headed by Executive Chef Marc Barber, who came from Brio Tuscan Grille in Annapolis. The restaurant, which is attached to the and-new Hotel at Arundel Preserve, serves eakfast, lunch, and dinner, with dishes such as Cabernet Braised Boneless Short Ribs, Molasses and Soy Marinated Skirt Steak, and Wonton Mango and Avocado Salad. I had the chance to visit Grillfire a couple times right as it opened—visit my blog, The Bent Fork, at Whatsupmag.com to read more about my initial impressions.
Also coming to the area is Rangoli, an Indian Bistro, set to open later this year. There's bound to be more on the way, too, as tenants begin moving into the 18,000-square-feet of retail space under the luxury apartment building that also occupies the Town Center. It seems like this might be a place to keep your eye on, especially with the casino at Arundel Mills coming in less than a mile down the road.
