OysterFest at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum
The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels will be hosting OysterFest on Saturday, October 25, 8 AM to 5 PM in a cele ation of the Chesapeake’s oyster. The event features live music on two stages, boat rides, retriever demonstrations, oysters and other local fare, an oyster stew competition, and cooking demonstrations. The Roadhouse Clams will be performing live from Tolchester Beach Bandstand. In addition to the museum’s fleet of historic vessels, there will be several boats from Talbot County Watermen’s Association dockside to share oyster dredging, hand tonging, and oyster diving traditions.
Kent Island’s Fall Festival will be held on October 25. This event features live entertainment all day. There will be four bands, dance studios, and a magician. In addition, there will be fabulous food and drink options like BBQ, Brats, a variety of chilies, and beer. Kids can play games like 'The Fortress' hoop shoot, as well engage in other activities such as scarecrow building. The event will run from 11 AM to 8 PM. Kids games and activities will run from 11 AM to 5 PM. The haunted village will be open from 6 to 10 PM. The festival will be located at 400 Camp Wright Lane, Stevensville, Maryland 21666.
