Ingredients
1 package puff pastry, defrosted
2 Tbsp. dijon mustard
¼ black pepper crusted ham
½ lb. Gruyere cheese, sliced
1 egg, beaten

Directions
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll out one sheet of puff pastry until it is 10″ by 12″. Slather the mustard onto the puff pastry, leaving a 1″ border. Lay the ham on top of the mustard and lay the cheese on top of the ham. Roll the other sheet of pastry to 10″ x 12″. Lay it on top of the ham and cheese. Using a fork, go around the entire pastry shell and press down, leaving indents. Cut three slits in the top of the pastry. Mix the egg with a bit of water and ush it onto the pastry. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden own. Slice into squares once cooled. Serves 6 to 8.
