Before I go any farther, I need you to know that it's me, not you. When David ought you home nearly four years ago, it really was love at first sight. Your shiny steel bowl, the three mixing utensils ... the connection between us was instantaneous and undeniable. You've seen me through much -- bad roommates, new apartments, even a wedding.

But I've moved on. There's someone else in my life. He's a griddler, and I think I'm in love.
I wasn't looking, Millie. When I registered for the wedding, I just asked for a simple griddle pan. But I was given the Cuisinart GR-4 Griddler Stainless Steel 4-in-1 Grill/Griddle and Panini Press -- I've come to know him as Gary -- and we've grown quite close. Last night, as I was grilling strips of summer squash and eggplant, I knew what I hadn't wanted to admit was true: I have fallen in love with another kitchen appliance.
You might ask, "Why, Kelsey? Why? What does he have that I don't?" I don't know if I can't explain it, Millie. It might be the removable grill plates. It could be the shiny silver exterior. It could be because I can do so much with Gary -- I can grill burgers or vegetables, I can cook pancakes or eggs, I can make melty cheese paninis. You know how I've always gone gooey for melted cheese.
I'm sorry for my indiscretions, and I hope we can still be friends. I still want you in my life. After all, no one kneads ead like you do.
Hugs and Kisses,
r
