We're returning to the beautiful setting of the Annapolis Maritime Museum where the interactive exhibit "Oysters on the Half-Shell" is installed. Come and learn about oystering in the Annapolis area, see the implements and boats used and learn about how disease and environmental degradation has changed this industry that was once the lifeblood of this area and its people. The exhibit is housed in the McNasby building, one of the last local oyster packing plants to close.
The Oyster Recovery Partnership also will be on hand with an exhibit about its efforts to ing the oysters back to pre-pollution, pre-disease levels. We'll be joined by the Chesapeake Outdoor Group, fun folks who know how to have a good time while doing good for the environment -- just like us!
Since this is a bit of a diversion for us ... summer fun teaming up with the Museum, our usual sponsored appetizers are not happening. Instead, there will be only simple munchies. We have partnered with Wild Country Seafood (across from the Museum's Barge House) who are anxious to serve us some great seafood to take out. Also, Leeward Market (corner of Eastern Avenue and Second Street) will ing over light appetizers (like their great pizza) for purchase! Both establishments will be open, serving their full menu if you want to buy take-out to enjoy during the concert.
Green Drinks begins at 5:30, music from Them Eastport Oyster Boys begins at 7 p.m. Beer and organic wine will be served. Cash bar."
