Burgers are the quintessential summer food. Here, we take the idea of a classic burger and twist it around. Tossed into a phyllo shell and topped with a jalapeño, this version of a burger is great on spice.
Ingredients
4-6 sheets of phyllo dough
1 lb. ground beef
1 onion, diced
1 bell pepper, diced
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 avocado
2-4 Tbsp. Greek yogurt
1-2 jalapeños
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large sauce pan over medium-high, own your ground beef. Once it is owned, drain the grease. Add in the onion and bell pepper and mix together. Let it cook for two to three minutes until the onions and pepper are just softened. While the beef and onion mixture is cooking, take the phyllo dough and spread it out on the counter. Cut each sheet in half. Grab a muffin tin and place two pieces of phyllo dough in each muffin cup. Take the ground beef and spoon about 2 large tablespoons into each phyllo cup. Bake in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes until the phyllo turns golden own. While the burgers cook, take your avocado and scoop out the green flesh. Combine it with the Greek yogurt until smooth. Slice your jalapeño into slices, removing the seeds if you don't want the heat. Take your phyllo out of the oven, top with cheese, avocado mix and jalapeños.
