Spicy Crab Scampi

Serves 6

8 ounces jumbo lump crabmeat
1 pound angel hair pasta
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (or to taste)
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 2/3 cup dry white wine 1 green onion, chopped Salt and pepper to taste ½ cup fresh Parmesan cheese, grated Optional: half-pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain, reserving ½ cup of pasta water, and set aside.

Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and sauté iefly until it's just slightly golden. Add the red pepper, lemon juice, and white wine. Bring to a boil, and then reduce the heat and simmer for two to three minutes. Fold in the crabmeat and green onions, and seasons with salt and pepper to taste. Combine the sauce and pasta in a large serving dish. Add reserved pasta water to dish if there's not enough liquid (or add additional wine or chicken oth). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
