What we ordered: We chose to eat get one savory crepe for lunch and one sweet crepe for dessert. We tussled a bit over who got to order the Nutella and banana crepe for dessert, and I won out. I'm so glad I did! When it comes to crepes, could there be a more perfect filling?

But, I'm jumping ahead of myself a bit.

I started with the Sliced Turkey, Pesto Mayonnaise, and Cranberry Chutney crepe for lunch. In order words, it was a Thanksgiving crepe! The crepes here are light and tasty. I can't imagine the skill takes to create these and not rip them in half, which I most certainly would do. The crepe was a great choice.

Emily tried the Ham, Gruyere and Dijon Mustard crepe. In her words, "The ham and gruyere crepe was delicious!" She just suggests requesting a little less mustard because it overpowered the delicate flavor of the ham and cheese. She also tried the butterscotch sweet crepe, which was a little too sweet for her taste. "If I went again, I would go with the banana/Nutella combo unless I had an intense sweet tooth craving."

After we ordered our crepes and waited a couple minutes for them to cook up, Emily and I headed to the small tables right outside the restaurant. Sofi's is really a grab-and-go type of place, and there are no tables inside the restaurant. This isn't a place to take a business meeting, but it is an excellent place to stop by on a sunny day when you can take your crepes down by the water. Sometimes you just need to get out of the office, right?

How long it took: We fed the meter for an hour, and returned with 30 minutes left on the clock. If that's not quick, I don't know what is!

The verdict: I've been thinking about the Nutella and Banana Crepe since we visited Sofi's, and that was about a week ago. For me, that's a pretty big compliment. Sofi's is a great place to head for a quick meal, any time of the day.
