Maryland Nurses Association has partnered with What’s Up? Media to promote the inaugural Excellence in Nursing peer survey honors, which will celebrate exceptional nurses practicing throughout the state. The Maryland Nurses Association is the only state-wide, nonprofit, multipurpose professional membership organization for Registered Nurses in Maryland. MNA advocates for excellence in nursing and the highest quality healthcare for all. “With MNA’s partnership with What’s Up? Media on this endeavor, we fully expect the inaugural Excellence in Nursing honors to extend its reach and accolades to its fullest potential,” says James Houck, Editorial Director of What’s Up? Media.
This peer-survey nomination project is entering the final stage of accepting nominations, which will end on September 14th. Licensed nurses and medical professionals may nominate fellow nurses in several fields of practice. The results will be tabulated, vetted, and become Excellence in Nursing honors. There will be “Top Nurses” within each field, but also “Honorary Nominees” for each category as well. This will be a celebration of the many, many excellent nurses that drive medicine on the front-lines. Excellence in Nursing honors will be celebrated in the November issues of What’s Up? Annapolis, What’s Up? Eastern Shore, and What’s Up? West County. A follow-up celebratory party is planned (tentative due to COVID-19 developments); updates forthcoming.
