Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic’s Third Annual Walk For Wishes is a community wide cele ation and effort to grant wishes for local children with life-threatening medical conditions. Walkers will fundraise leading up to the event and then join wish children, families, and other supporters the day of the event, Thursday, April 21st at Annapolis Towne Centre from 5–8 p.m. Activities will include a moon bounce, games, crafts, face painting and music. The Third Annual Hopping for a Cure! 5K and 10K Race is a scenic race across the Cross Island Trail in Kent Island on Saturday, April 2nd. The race starts under the Kent Island Bridge at 8:15 a.m. and raises funds to support the fight against Blood Cancer for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Registration is $15–35. 5TH ANNUAL ANNAPOLIS/KENT ISLAND RUN AND DOG 5K & 10K WALK
The Fifth Annual Annapolis/Kent Island Run & Dog 5K and 10K Walk will be at Kent Island High School in Stevensville on Sunday, April 17th at from 2–5 p.m. The event leaves from the school and tours the beautiful Cross Island Trail. All proceeds will assist America’s VetDogs mission to help veterans with disabilities live a life without boundaries. Since 2003, America’s VetDogs has trained and placed over 350 assistance dogs free of charge with our nation’s wounded veterans. You can walk with or without your pup. Registration is $20–35.
