Chesapeake Dental
Dr. James Pochron is a true believer of, and practices, the philosophies taught at the Dawson Academy. Dental school gave him the basics in dentistry, which all dentists learn, but his true education on how to make smiles more predictable and last a lifetime started after his education with the Dawson Academy.
“You see, anyone can make a smile that looks pretty,” Dr. Pochron says, “But to make it last a lifetime is the real ’trick’.” Bruxism, cracked teeth, receding gums, and popping joints are becoming more prevalent these days. People are seeing what happens when they keep their teeth longer. Using the principals of the Dawson Academy, there are solutions for all of these problems. The sooner a dentist recognizes the problems, the more predictable the results. Restoring teeth today has never been more predictable, cosmetic, and functional.
WHO I AM
1. What do you love most about practicing dentistry?
To know that you have the gift to relieve someone’s pain or repair a smile and restore self-esteem is the most rewarding feeling one could ever have.
2. My Motto
I will always treat my patients as if they were my family and they will always know that I genuinely care about them.
ABOUT DR. POCHRON
Dr. Pochron is a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph High School and Loyola College in Baltimore. He then graduated from The University of Maryland Dental School in 1987. He is a member of the ADA and MSDA. After graduating, he worked in many dental practices looking for that one practice at which he could retire but also had the same “philosophy” as his own. He learned what he liked about some practices, but more importantly, what he did not like. In 2004, he started the perfect practice using the principles of the Dawson Academy, of which he is a graduate. When Dr. Pochron is not trying to make his practice better for his patients, he can be found enjoying spending time with his wife Tracy and his six year old son, Chase.
