brOur second installment of inspiration for your holiday table setting embraces the quintessential Annapolis vibe, with a few twists added in to spice up even the simplest gathering—spunky shades and seahorses anyone? Drawing from Annapolis’ characteristic coastal style, the designers in this segment created table settings that are versatile enough for any occasion. So whether you’re throwing a casual dinner party for friends or hosting the Christmas feast, there are plenty of ways to create a tablescape that is fittingly Annapolis.
brbrEnjoy.
brbrAdding color and mixing elements within your table setting shouldn't be limited to just the tabletop itself. Maine Cottage offers a scrumptious color palette full of whimsical signature fabric patterns and shaker-style painted furniture—all perfectly coordinated for creating a beautiful mix-and-match tablescape.
Our Della Dining Table is at the center of attention, drenched in a warm yellow—appropriately named “Sun”—and topped with an ever-so-classic natural cherry top. The versatile style of our Boothbay Dining Chairs, splashed in various blue hues, surround the table to create a harmonious and playful look.
brTo add texture, we layered linens in a variety of original spirited patterns within our color palette. White handcrafted pottery, casual bubble glassware, and basic flatware keep the look from being cluttered or overdone. Simple accents like blue bud vases filled with fresh-cut flowers and lemon place cards at each setting finish the look by adding pops of color as the unifying elements among a mix of cheerful colors, patterns, and textures.
brWhen setting your table this holiday season, be creative as you choose linens, china, serving pieces, and tabletop accessories. Start by selecting a mix of patterns, considering scale and color. Limit your color palette to only two or three colors, then unify patterns with coordinating solid color ceramics. Complete your design by incorporating small yet inviting personal touches—such as charming bud vases with flowers and handwritten place cards—to add a warmth to your table that your guests will be sure to notice.

There’s no law that says holiday tables have to be decked out in seasonal colors and accented with shiny ornaments and fir boughs. Indulge your inner Santa on Christmas Eve and Day, but try some out-of-box thinking for those other dinner parties between Thanksgiving and New Year’s.
brWe wanted to put together a table that was crisp, elegant, and flexible enough to take you through several dinner parties. Nothing does that better than this combination of blue and white.
We used an assortment of vintage and new blue-and- white vases and set them on a blue-and-white runner that coordinates with navy placemats and navy and white napkins. The centerpiece is filled out with glass hurricanes and candles, white ceramic vegetables, and pearlescent shells. For a simpler look, or smaller table, just use fewer elements.
brWe think the polished look of this setting is a perfect contrast to the rustic farm table and woven rattan chairs. The overscaled blue-and-white pillows on the chairs unify the look.
brThis setting can be used throughout the year by simply changing the flowers to ones that are appropriate to the season. Think cherry blossom and tulips for spring, lilies for summer, and magnolias for fall and the holiday season.

For our holiday table setting, we frolicked into a fresh, festive, feisty mode, cutting loose the past, thumping to today’s heartbeat with a frisky new pairing of chartreuse and turquoise, splashed with glittery fish and seahorse embellishments—all fun, sparkle and unexpected beauty, just like our own beloved Eastern Shore!
brSnatch your own color inspiration from something you love in your own house. Here, we embraced some favorite artwork and an adored chandelier to jump deeper into our own joyful holiday spirit. We gathered lush fresh seasonal white flowers to sing in elegant harmony, and nestled them among glossy magnolia leaves and surprise-me foliage.
brYou can keep guests’ eyes entertained with layered dinnerware in contrasting colors, topped with coordinating napkins and ornaments. Shine up the scenery with our three-dimensional stars, twinkling on a cotton/satin table cover. And jump into a holiday repast that’s all shimmer, glamour, and good times.
