Situated in a private, serene setting surrounded by lush farmland, this three-level colonial home with a stately exterior design is an absolute gem. In fact, the stunning home is so impressive that it was featured on HGTV and the DIY Network. The property, which was listed on October 2nd, 2016, closed on July 17th, 2017.
“I originally sold the property to a young couple who were first-time buyers in December 2011,” says Jeffrey A. Ross of RE/MAX One, the listing agent for the property. “HGTV was in the area, and they were looking for interesting house hunters. We auditioned and were selected to be on ‘My First Place’ in a segment called ‘Waterfront Woes.’ The husband wanted to purchase either a waterfront or water view home in Edgewater or Annapolis. But his wife wasn’t sold on water. She wanted a grand home on some acreage.”
The home features an open floor plan that seamlessly blends the rooms into one common living space. Exquisite in every detail, the awe-inspiring grand foyer includes an 18-foot ceiling, marble flooring, and an elegant chandelier. The kitchen features ample cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, an island, and recessed lighting. A relaxing retreat, the family room includes hardwood floors and a cozy fireplace. With its double sink vanity, jetted soaking tub, and separate glass shower, the master bath is absolutely luxurious. And the fully finished walk-out lower level—ideal for use as an in-law suite—includes a bedroom, an en suite full bath, a wet bar, and a gas fireplace.
“We searched in Annapolis and Edgewater and found a perfect water view home in Edgewater,” says Ross. “Unfortunately, another party presented an ‘all-cash’ offer. Since we had run out of waterfront options, we turned our attention to Southern Anne Arundel County, where I found a large home on 1.23 very secluded acres that was perfect for them. When the husband received a promotion at his job, the couple had to relocate to Dallas and sold the home to a buyer who saw its potential.”
