Annapolis, MD - Special Olympics Maryland recently announced that their annual Polar Bear Plunge for this year will be postponed due to the current COVID-19 surge. An update on plungemd.com states the following message:
"We have been working hard to plan for a safe In-Person Plunge at Sandy Point State Park, but given the spike in COVID-19, it has become clear that the only thing to do, the right thing to do, is reschedule our In-Person Plunge to a later date. We care greatly about the health and safety of our Special Olympics Maryland community and hope that all of you will join us from March 24-26th in-person or virtual for the 2022 MSP Polar Bear Plunge."
