WASHINGTON, D.C. – This winter, join the Corcoran Gallery of Art and College of Art + Design for the All-Student Juried Exhibition, featuring work by 20 Corcoran undergraduate, graduate, and Continuing Education students. On view January 25–Fe uary 5, 2012 in Gallery 31—the Corcoran’s dedicated free exhibition space—the exhibition presents multimedia and multi-disciplinary works, as representative of the College’s diversepopulation. This year’s guest juror is Jackie Ionia, Corcoran alumna and director of the Hamiltonian Gallery in Washington, D.C.
“This year’s All-Student Juried Exhibition provides a unique opportunity to get a glimpse of the range of work produced by our diverse student body,” said Catherine Armour, provost and chief academic officer of the Corcoran College of Art + Design.
“Participating in a juried exhibition prepares our students for the challenges of the real-life art world.”
Artists featured in the All-Student Juried Exhibition include Joey Alzamora, Sharlaine Anapu, Uliana Bazar, Paul Bothwell, Celia Bowker, Amy Breesman, James Lawler Duggan, John Edmonds, Dakota Fine, Keah Fryar, Dan Gray, Jeff Herrity, MJ Kelly, René Medrano, Veronica Melendez, Carolyn Millstein, Allister Moon, Jiwon Paik, Whitney Waller, and Irene Weinz.

ABOUT THE CORCORAN
The Corcoran Gallery of Art, a privately funded institution, was founded in 1869. It was America’s first dedicated art museum and today is Washington’s largest nonfederal museum of art. It is known internationally for its distinguished collection of historical and modern American art as well as contemporary art, photography, European painting, sculpture, and the decorative arts.
