City of Annapolis Funding Strengthens the Work of Nonprofits
ANNAPOLIS, MD - The Office of Community Services has opened the application portal for the City of Annapolis FY 2027 Community Grant program. The grants are available to any Annapolis 501(C)3 organization with a Certificate of Good Standing from the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation. The application portal will remain open until 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Final decisions will be announced after the passage of the City’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 budget in June of 2026.
The total amount of funding to be allocated for FY27 Community Grants will be determined as part of the upcoming budget process.
Priority consideration will be given to programs that meet one or more of the following goals:
- Provide services that sustain and empower youth, families, and individuals to move toward an improved quality of life and self-sufficiency;
- Preserve and enhance a community’s character;
- Contribute to a vibrant local economy;
- Promote community revitalization, economic development, and environmental sustainability.
“Community nonprofits are an important partner to City government,” said Mayor Jared Littmann. “This program is our way of offering you support as you work to uplift the Annapolis community. We encourage local nonprofits to read about the program and apply.”
The Office of Community Services and the Finance Department will review applications and forward funding recommendations to the Annapolis City Council for consideration as part of the FY27 City Budget.
