ANNAPOLIS, MD - The City of Annapolis invites residents and visitors to take part in the Fourth Annual BioBlitz, a month-long, volunteer-driven exploration of the plants and pollinators thriving in Annapolis. Organized by the Annapolis Resilience & Sustainability team with the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), the initiative is designed to promote awareness of local biodiversity throughout the month of September.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Between September 1 and 30, residents and visitors are invited to volunteer in the scientific process by identifying wildlife in Annapolis Parks. Participants will need to download the iNaturalist app (available on Apple and Android) and contribute observations to the “Parks for Pollinators 2026: Annapolis, MD” project, or use the link: bit.ly/AnnaBlitz. The member who uploads the most pictures will win a Sustainability-themed goody bag.
