Not only did Maines make Coaches First Team All-County and All-State as an attacker in 2012 but she maintained a 3.54 GPA as a junior at North County. Routinely the Knights’ top scorer each game, she accumulated 78 goals in her first three seasons with the Knights.
Maines’ favorite memory from county competition is the goal she scored against Severna Park her freshman year. She admires Olympic athletes because of the time, effort, and energy they exude to become the most elite competitors in the world. Maines has been a member of the Futures Elite Program and USA Field Hockey Program for the past five years, even competing in the Junior Olympics in August 2012.
Looking to stay close to home, Maines is considering local schools such as Towson and Salisbury. She wants to continue her fi eld hockey career after high school and is leaning towards a sports management degree.
