No stranger to competition, Kopf started on the varsity lacrosse team his freshman year as an honor roll athlete for the Panthers in 2012. His tenacity showed on his final goal of the regular season against South River. “I just went out there and got the ball, made a move, and went to the cage and scored. That was my last goal of the season because I oke my arm and didn’t get to play in the playoffs,” Kopf says.
Having played team sports since he was six years old, Kopf enjoys the bonding aspect of playing lacrosse. “We’re all others and we’re all in it together. It’s a good feeling,” Kopf says. He says after high school, it would be his dream to attend the University of Maryland but he plans to also look at Villanova and Towson when the time comes.
As a lacrosse player, he naturally gravitates toward Paul Rabil as his favorite athlete, but also cites Michael Jordan and Wayne Gretzky as inspirations.
