On June 4th, the AYLA Bay Raiders of Annapolis captured the Maryland State Championship in the U-11 lacrosse division, defeating the Charles County Lacrosse Club (Knights) 12-1 at Southern High School Turf Field. Nick Golini scored 4 goals, Joaquin Villagomez 2, Jake Schroll 2, while Sean Berzins, Vincent Trujillo, Liam McAndrews, and Gabe Berzins each scored a goal. Goalkeeper Daniel Mueller made 11 saves.

Even though the Bay Raiders have been around for the past 10 plus years, its anding and full commitment to charity and well-deserving causes took shape in the last 4 years. Since then the Bay Raiders have ought awareness and raised funds of more than $7,000. The team and parents have been behind supporting young children causes, and one cause supporting military heroes each year, including Treat for Troops, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, Fallen Warrior Bear, and, this year, Connected Warriors, Leukemia for Pennies, and Warrior Events.
