Winters Lane Productions and the Chesapeake Arts Center are both very excited about this new partnership. Winters Lane Productions has ought a lot of numerous shows to the Metropolitan Area: Dreamgirls, Disney's High School Musical, Smokey Joe's Café and The Life. Starting on June 24, 2013 the Winters Lane Productions will be teaching theatre classes at the Chesapeake Arts Center and starting in the fall 2013 will be putting on a full production musical theatre in the Hammonds Lane Theatre.

During the class, Academy of Winters Lane will educate the students as they start their careers in the performing arts. The Winters Lane instructors will teach the students the importance of Scene Study, Improvisation, Creating a Character, Storytelling & Imagination and much more.

Anya Randall Nebel is the Founder of Winters Lane Productions. Anya has been performing/producing shows locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally for the past thirty years. In 2004, Anya named the company after the street where her grandmother's house stood. Anya wanted to ing a company to the Metropolitan Area and share with the next generation of actors the art of business, discipline and training.

When not onstage, Anya has directed several theatre productions: A Chorus Line, Evita, (Winner of 2010 Watch Award for Best Cameo in a Musical), Rent (Winner of the 2009 First Runner Up Ruby Griffith Award). In 2004, Anya had her first televised speaking role as Carol Ann in HBO's The Wire. She has been featured in national tours of Ain't Misbehavin', Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Little Shop of Horrors, Buddy in Reno, NV and in the Russian and Japanese tours of Godspell.

In 2011 Anya was nominated for Best Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Velma Kelly in Chicago. She is also the winner of the Washington WATCH award as best actresses in a musical for her work as the Leading Player in Pippin. Locally she has been featured as Queen in The Life, Aida in Aida, Narrator in Joseph, and Dolly Levi in Hello Dolly. She has studied theatre at Otterbein College, in Westerville, Ohio and studied with the late legendary Ossie Davis.
