On-Site Services Wednesdays is an initiative of the Naptown Anti-Dope Move(meant) (NAM), a program led by the Office of Mayor Gavin Buckley. NAM is dedicated to raising awareness about opioid overdoses, educating the community, and supporting residents impacted by substance use disorders by connecting them to prevention, treatment, and recovery services. The NAM initiative has helped to reduce fatal overdoses in the City over the past five years. In 2020, there were 28 fatal overdoses, 17 in 2021, 15 in 2022, 10 in 23 and 5 last year. “Addressing the opioid crisis requires a community-wide effort,” said Mayor Gavin Buckley. “Through the Naptown Anti-Dope Move(meant) and On-Site Services Wednesdays, we are taking action to save lives, support recovery, and provide our residents with the tools and resources they need. Together, we can make a real difference in the fight against substance use disorders.”
