Annapolis, Maryland — The City of Annapolis Recreation and Parks Department announces both the Kenneth R. Dunn Municipal Pool at Truxtun Park and the Harbour House community pool in Eastport will open for the season on Saturday, May 24, 2025. Both outdoor pools will be open through late September.
OPERATING HOURS (updates at https://www.annapolis.gov/1081/Aquatics)
The Kenneth R. Dunn Municipal Pool on Pumphouse Road:
- May 25 to June 13: Weekdays from 3 to 7 p.m. and weekends from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- June 13 to Labor Day: Daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Harbour House Pool on Madison Street:
- May 25 to June 13: Weekdays from 3 to 5 p.m. and weekends from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- June 13 to Labor Day: Daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There are a few holiday hours and early closures to note:
- Memorial Day, Monday, May 26: pool hours are 11 a.m. 5 p.m. (both pools)
- Saturday, June 24: the Kenneth R. Dunn Municipal Pool is open 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. due to swim meet
- Tuesday, July 4 : pool hours are 11 a.m. -5 p.m. for Independence Day (both pools)
- Saturday, July 8 : the Kenneth R. Dunn Municipal Pool is open 11:30 a.m. -7 p.m. due to swim meet
“It’s time to grab your goggles, slather on the sunscreen, and dive into the fun our Rec and Parks aquatics team has in store for you and your family!” said Annapolis Mayor Gavin Buckley. “There’s no better place to beat the heat and make connections with friends and neighbors at the local pool.”
Classes at Kenneth R. Dunn Municipal Pool: This year, a new Aqua Flow class will be added to the Aquatic Fitness lineup, which includes Water Aerobics, Aqua Cycle, and Aqua Trampoline Tabata. All fitness programs will begin the week of June 16.
In addition, registration is now open for more than 30 beginner swim lessons for youth as young as 3 years of age. Youth swim classes are 30 minutes with no more than six children per class. The pool is also a fun location to host a party during the summer. There are two weekend time slots available for parties:
- 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- 2 to 4 p.m.
