Annapolis, MD - Today! 6 to 8 p.m. (May 5) - The City of Annapolis' Resilience and Sustainability team will host a community session for feedback on the first draft of the 2025 Climate Action Plan at the Pip Moyer Recreation Center, (273 Hilltop Lane in Annapolis).
Food and beverages, a summary of findings, proposed actions, and additional comments from the Mayor will be provided at the event.
The City of Annapolis is eager to have the community present to ensure this accurately reflects all the information received up to this point.
This is a last-in-a-series community conversation on the Annapolis Climate Action Plan (CAP) from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at the Pip Moyer Recreation Center (273 Hilltop Lane in Annapolis). This in-person workshop is free and open to the public and is the culmination of months of planning for the publication of the Annapolis Climate Action Plan (CAP).
The interactive session will focus on how Annapolis can strengthen its resilience to climate impacts and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the coming years. City staff will present key findings and discuss proposed strategies for buildings, transportation, energy systems, and more.
Participation is open to all Annapolis residents, neighborhood associations, business owners, and local stakeholders. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions, participate in live polling, and help shape the City’s final priorities.
“We want this plan to reflect the creativity and priorities of Annapolis residents,” said Mayor Jared Littmann. “If you want to help shape the CAP, this is the best opportunity to do so.”
The updated CAP seeks to meet the goals of the Maryland Climate Solutions Now Act, which calls for a 60 percent reduction in statewide greenhouse gas emissions from 2006 levels by 2031 and net-zero emissions by 2045.
