r“I often hear artists speak of painters they admire and I thought it would be interesting for our collectors to have the opportunity to hear in artist terms what it is they admire about a colleague’s paintings.”r
To accomplish this, the gallery asked Louis Escobedo, Terry Miller, Paula Waterman, Ed Hatch and Sam Robinson to invite a colleague to participate in the exhibit. The selected Guest Artists are: Leslie Belloso from Maryland's Eastern Shore, Cindy House from New Hampshire, James Coe from New York, Gary Brookins from Virginia and Lisa Mitchell from Maryland.

Panel Discussion at 2:00 on March 20th
r
At 2:00pm on Sunday at the opening reception, the guest artists will be introduced by their host. They will share with gallery patrons what they admire most, whether composition and design, drawing skills, mood, or use of color. Audience participation is always welcome. McBride said, “We hope it will be very educational, and at the end of the panel discussion, patrons will look at the exhibition with new ‘eyes' and appreciate the paintings from a new perspective.”
r
Through the centuries artists have admired and respected the skills of fellow artists and would speak freely of their admiration for artists who have gone before them. Many artists choose to study with ‘master' painters to learn those skills. Art students find copying the work of a master painter is good method to learning ‘from the best.' Artists often become teachers themselves, passing down the information in a lineage of artist teaching artist that continues today.

The “Each One Invites One” show opens on Sunday, March 20 and continues to April 10th. The exhibition and the panel discussion are open to the public.
