Washington, DC — Encore Creativity for Older Adults, the nation’s largest choral arts organization for adults 55 and over, is pleased to announce that registration is now open for its highly anticipated 2026 Summer Singing Sessions.
Designed to keep singers engaged, connected, and inspired throughout the summer months, these popular programs offer a welcoming and enriching musical experience for both new and returning participants. The six-week sessions begin the week of June 22, 2026, and are open to all adults age 55 and older—no audition required.
Encore’s Summer Singing Sessions feature a variety of ensemble options, including Chorale, ROCKS, Broadway, and Arts for Life programs. Participants rehearse in a fun, supportive environment while exploring diverse musical styles—from classical masterworks and Broadway favorites to rock and American standards.
“These sessions are about more than music—they’re about connection, creativity, and community,” said Joshua Vickery, CEO of Encore Creativity. “Whether you’re a lifelong singer or trying it for the first time, summer is the perfect time to join Encore and experience the joy of singing together.”
Each session consists of weekly 90-minute rehearsals over six weeks, culminating in an informal, open rehearsal where friends and family are invited to join in the music-making.
Encore’s programs are designed to be accessible and inclusive:
- Open to singers of all experience levels
- No auditions required
- Scholarships available to ensure cost is never a barrier
- In-person and online options offered in select locations
Registration is open now through early July, with early sign-up encouraged to ensure full program access and materials.
