Football Season is Here!
Last week, the NCAA college football season opened. Our local teams, the Maryland Terrapins (won) and Navy Midshipmen (lost) each played home games. And this weekend sees the NFL kickoff it’s season locally with the Washington Football Team playing the Los Angeles Chargers at home, while the beloved Baltimore Ravens play Monday night on the road versus Las Vegas Raiders.
Our questions to you were:
Who’s your favorite team—college, pro, or both—and what are your expectations and hopes for this season?
If you’re not a football fan, what other fall sports and activities do you enjoy?
Here’s what you said:
Football is back in August/September 2021.....amazing opening weekend in NCAA SPECTATORS,FANATICAL FANS....The 'usual suspects' for sure....millions of Americans enjoyed the National Sports ADDICTION (the opiates of the masses)......the CULTURAL and SOCIAL effects of American Football cannot be truly calculated.....Thursday, September 9, 2021, the National Football League celebrated OPENING NITE of 2021-22 Season.......EXTRAORDINARY tilt that far surpassed the pregame hype for weeks and months prior to kickoff…Classic offensive, defensive, special teams professional football in every facet and segment of play.....possibly one of the greatest regular season games in modern NFL history...MEMORABLE....and so it begins as the heat and drama of summer 2021 gradually shifts into early fall season….The truly American obsession and passion for a sport that has very long history and seemingly an incredibly bright future.

I root for Washington and Navy so, as in all seasons, my hope is that the former beats the Cowboys (twice) and the latter beats Army!!!
