Annapolis, MD - Historic Annapolis is delighted to share that Founding Freedoms: The Essential American Documents at the Maryland State House will be on display through November 28, 2021. Visit the Maryland State House Rotunda and view rare, historic copies of the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights alongside the original, handwritten 1783 speech by George Washington, in which he resigns as commander-in-chief of the Continental Army. This exhibition is presented by Historic Annapolis and the Maryland State Archives, in partnership with David M. Rubenstein.

Don't miss one of your last chances to take our special combined tour of the William Paca House and Garden and the Founding Freedoms exhibition!
Your experience begins with a 45-minute tour of the William Paca House and Garden. Your guide will share information of Paca's contributions to the revolutionary cause and share the stories of all the people who lived and labored here. Then, take a short stroll to the Maryland State House as your guide points out highlights of Annapolis history and architecture. Visit the Founding Freedoms exhibition and enjoy a guided visit to the Old Senate Chamber and the new Senate Chamber.
