As we know, Giving Tuesday takes place in December. This year scheduled for December 1, Giving Tuesday makes you think twice about your holiday shopping to focus what the holidays are really about, and to give to those who aren't as fortunate during the season of giving. In addition to the annual December Giving Tuesday, this year there is a Giving Tuesday Now: today! When things get hard, we must all come together to help pull each other through to the finish line. Keep doing the little things, buying gift cards from local restaurants and donating supplies to hospitals. Donate whatever you feel comfortable, whether that is money, time, or supplies. Make a casserole and donate it to a homeless shelter, or gather old graduation robes and send them to Gowns for Good for healthcare workers! Take a look at local Maryland nonprofits this Give Tuesday Now and use #GiveTuesdayNow to help spread the word and expand the unity.
