Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County (CFAAC) to Host 3rd Annual 24-Hour Online Fundraising Event; 2014 total raised was $675,000 with this year's goal at $750,000 for 186 Nonprofits
Maryland Live! Casino Returns as Presenting Sponsor of the Great Give for the 3rd consecutive year.
Annapolis, MD, April 27, 2015 - The Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County (CFAAC) along with presenting sponsor Maryland Live! Casino, will host the Great Give 2015 from 6 PM on May 5 to 6 PM on May 6, 2015. The Great Give is a 24-hour online fundraiser designed to raise funds to support Anne Arundel County nonprofit organizations and to strengthen a “give local” spirit throughout the County. Over the past two years, the Great Give has raised an unprecedented $1.2 million online from thousands of donors for hundreds of local nonprofits. This year, the goal is to raise $750,000 in 24 hours for the186 nonprofit organizations that are participating and serve Anne Arundel County.
During the 24 hours of the Great Give 2015, individuals, families, businesses, and organizations can go online to www.greatgiveaac.org to make a gift to participating charities of their choice. This year, 186 local nonprofits are registered to participate. View the complete list here.
Participating nonprofit organizations will not only receive all donations made to their organization during the 24-hour event but will also be eligible to win thousands of dollars in cash prizes. A total of $76,000 will be awarded. A list of Great Give 2015 prize categories can be found here.
