Scenic Rivers Land Trust must have FIVE volunteers to proceed with the workdays
As summer comes to a close and cooler temperatures settle in, Scenic Rivers' Healthy Forests Program at Bacon Ridge Natural Area resumes once again.
Scenic Rivers is organizing three more public workdays to tackle invasive vines, shrubs, and grasses along the trails of Bacon Ridge Natural Area. Sign up to join on:
- Saturday, September 26 (10 am to 12:30 pm); Co-hosted by Scenic Rivers and Arundel Rivers Federation in celebration of National Public Lands Day!
- Saturday, October 17 (10 am to noon)
- Saturday, November 7 (10 am to noon)
Scenic Rivers needs your help! Whether you’re a longtime volunteer or joining for the first time, Scenic Rivers would love to see you there. Spending just a couple of hours in the fresh air, clearing invasive plants, is a rewarding way to give back to nature, connect with your community, and make a lasting impact. Plus, it’s a great excuse to get outside and enjoy the beauty of Bacon Ridge in the fall!
This program’s success wouldn’t be possible without Scenic Rivers' dedicated volunteers. Over the past five years, over 300 volunteers have contributed a combined 600 hours of hard work to support the health and vitality of Bacon Ridge Natural Area.
Bring a friend, bring your energy, and let’s keep Bacon Ridge healthy together!
Registering in advance is appreciated—each workday MUST have at least five registered volunteers to proceed.
