This was taken at Terrapin Park in Stevensville, along the beach facing the Bay Bridge, this past December. It was very foggy this day and it settled on the Bay throughout the day and evening. Shot with a Canon Rebel T2i with ISO 100, exposure at 2.5 seconds, and an ND8 filter.

Titled Weems Creek Mist, this is a shot of the drawbridge over Weems Creek in Annapolis from this past December. The fog tends to lift the horizon and the stillness makes mirror like reflections. Shot with a Nikon D80 at f/4.8, 1/200 second, and ISO 200.

There’s beauty in simplicity and for our next installment of the What’s Up? Photo Contest, we are asking for your best photographs of sunsets and sunrises in the Chesapeake Bay region. Over the river or through the woods, we would love to see your best shots…and from all seasons within the past year.
