ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan stopped by the Cecil County Fair at the Fair Hill Fairgrounds and toured Principio Business Park by helicopter in North East.
Cecil County Fair. The first Cecil County fair was a one-day event held in 1954 to showcase local agriculture. Today, the 9-day fair draws over 75,000 visitors and includes over 7,000 entries and 1,200 4-H and open exhibitors.
Ag Showcase. During his tour of the Cecil County Fair, Governor Hogan stopped by the Ag Showcase to thank local farmers for their hard work and resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the Maryland Farmer COVID-19 Relief Program, the Hogan administration provided direct assistance to more than 1,300 Maryland farmers and producers.
Principio Business Park. Governor Hogan took a helicopter tour of Principio Business Park, which covers more than 1,600 acres and leases warehousing and distribution facilities and office space in Cecil County. The commercial business park is currently home to major distribution facilities including General Electric, Restoration Hardware, and Amazon.
