Indian Creek School alumnus, David Correy, performed live on the Today Show on January 29, 2014. The Upper School students at Indian Creek enjoyed starting their day with a live feed to enjoy the musical talent of a student who attended Indian Creek. br
Correy released a new track off of his EP entitled "I AM" the song features Wyclef Jean and Tokio Hotel. In addition, David Correy was a finalist on Season 2 of X Factor and is a true inspiration to many people. According to his website, “Through the show, Correy, born in Brazil, was able to reconnect with his birth mother, who was forced to give Correy up for adoption due to extreme poverty. Because of his talent and connection to Brazil, David was chosen by Coca-Cola to record "The World Is Ours," the 2014 FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour anthem; he worked with acclaimed songwriters and producers Rock Mafia and Mario Caldato, Jr. respectively.”
Indian Creek School is very proud of the former student who is having tremendous on the global musical stage. He is still in close contact with Indian Creek Upper School Director of Performing Arts and Middle School Vocal Director Jill Woodward who has worked closely with David for many years.
