Easton, MD - The Town of Easton, in partnership with Off Course Disc Golf, invites community members of all ages to attend its first-ever Disc Golf Clinic at John F. Ford Park on Sunday, April 26. This free event is designed to introduce beginners and newcomers to the exciting and rapidly growing sport of disc golf.
The clinic will be divided into two sessions. A Community Q&A will take place from 10am to 12pm, offering attendees the opportunity to engage with instructors in an open forum. Participants can learn about the rules of the game, as well as gain helpful tips, tricks, and best practices for getting started.
Following the Q&A, a hands-on clinic will run from 12pm to 2pm. During this session, attendees will actively participate in multiple aspects of disc golf, with guidance provided by professional instructors from Off Course Disc Golf.
“This is a perfect opportunity for the community to learn more about the sport of disc golf,” said Lorraine Gould, Director of Parks and Recreation for the Town of Easton. “With a tournament and a full disc golf course installation on the horizon for John F. Ford Park, this is a great way to learn more about the sport and get a taste for the action to come!”
This event is free and open to all ages and skill levels. The Town of Easton and Off Course Disc Golf encourage anyone interested in trying something new or learning more about disc golf to attend.
Due to limited on-site parking, attendees are encouraged to park at the lot on Springdale Street near the Talbot County Board of Education building. Once parked, entrances to John F. Ford Park can be found by heading north on Rails to Trails near Judas and Plum Streets.
