LARRY KRONE & FAMILY: NOT ENOUGH BIRDS
r
Please join us for a wild performance by Artist/entertainer, singer/songwriter Larry Krone & Family at Joe Squared on Sunday, August 7th!
Krone is known as much for his understated style of sad song selling as for his overstated stage presence complete with customized ukuleles and hand-stitched & studded western stage costumes.
Krone has performed at art and music venues in New York including The Whitney Museum, The Project Gallery, Smack Mellon, PS 122, and the Living Room and can be seen semi-regularly at Joe's Pub performing in the monthly variety show, "Our Hit Parade." His frequent collaborators include Jim Andralis, Janet & Randy Kennedy, Pablo Helguera, Kenny Mellman, Bridget Everett, Neal Medlyn, Clint Michigan, and Amy Bezunartea among others. A full length CD of Larry Krone's music was commissioned and published by the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis as part of the multimedia limited edition box set accompanying his 10 year retrospective held there in 2006.

Quotes from Bradley Rubenstein for "Dusty Miller's Culture Catch":
"...with his attention to detail in handmade costumes and props he doesn't just em ace teater, he give it a huge bear hug and sloppy wet kiss."
"...giving the audience its full measure of art and entertainment..."
"Between shots of Jack Daniels, and enough on-stage costume changes to rival David Lee Roth..."
