Q. What happens to my license if I've been charged with a DUI?
A. Being charged with, or convicted of, a DUI can result in potentially serious sanctions taken by the MVA. Your license could be restricted, suspended, or even revoked, as well as increased points assessed (which can raise your insurance rates). It is important to know that you can request a hearing to show why these actions should not be taken. Having an experienced lawyer evaluate your case, fighting for you, and making the right arguments at this hearing can be invaluable to maintaining your ability to drive.
